Catastrophic Remodel

Words not normally found together. In this case, we had an investor that had purchased the home for speculative investment with the intention to renovate in time. Their schedule was expedited via a tenant fire. Not my first recommendation but it wasn’t our call. Regardless, it turned out very well. Working with the builder, we took advantage of the fact that the home was stripped to its frame during the mitigation process. Hence, we had complete access to the structure visually. As plans were not available, this allowed us the opportunity to make significant revisions to the home cost effectively, in the course of the fire restoration process.
