Circa ‘40 Duplex Conversion

This Duplex conversion resides in the Morningside area near Lindbergh. Although extremely dated, the foundation and entry level framing were in remarkable condition. The conversion you see is a product of removing the roof and upper level (Unusable), raising the ceilings and adding a new upper level and expansion to the rear. This project effectively doubled the square footage while remaining a more tenable “Renovation” permit rather than “New Construction”. We chose a Prairie Modern design style as it worked well in the area and complimented the lot. It also made the conversion more flexible. Before the owner chose, we were able to consider 3 options in the same format.
