Honey, let’s move to the woods!

This project is the perfect example of a retirement home. Not that this client is retiring but more that this is the home they will live in when it happens. The floor area is significant for only 3 bedrooms, but it fits there lifestyle now and in the future. They were extremely detailed in explaining the intended outcome, which is always a plus. Many things are unusual by common standards but perfect for their mission. Foe example, notice no windows in the Master Bedroom? In general, the intent was to look like a reclaimed farmhouse that was added on to. Materials were selected for maintenance to be minimal. Floor planning was allocated for having guests stay on a routine basis. More than anything, the home is warm, quiet and reflects the style of the owners. That’s our mission in a nutshell.
